What does CYKR stand for?

CYKR represents the combined expertise of Chelsea Yim (CY) and Kana Ribultan (KR)—a dynamic partnership and growing group of designers helping blend innovation, strategy, and human-centered design to create meaningful, lasting experiences.

Our journey

Since 2020, Chelsea and Kana played pivotal roles as executive leaders at RVCM (RevaComm Inc.), formerly Hawaii’s #1 Fastest-Growing Private Company and ranked #553 on Forbes Inc. 5000 list in 2023. During their tenure, they helped drive digital transformation across commercial, defense, and federal sectors—creating influential impacts within the communities they served. Following RVCM’s acquisition, they launched CYKR Design Group to continue delivering strategic facilitation methods and human-centered design solutions.

Chelsea, renowned for her ability to bridge design and engineering through people-centric and data-driven methodologies, is esteemed for her skill in building and leading teams that operate in synergy. Her leadership as the lead designer for Puckboard, a flight scheduling application for the United States Air Force, contributed to securing multimillion-dollar federal contracts, leading to widespread adoption by over 33,000 airmen.

Kana, known for her ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, integrates design-thinking strategies, consumer insights, and visual design. Beyond her product design work with high-profile clients, she played an integral part in developing Platform One’s (P1) human-centered design curriculum for Department of Defense development teams and contractors.
